Jazz classes
Jazz combines popular music and movement style, while incorporating the necessary skills required to accomplish leaps, turns, balance, and kicks. It is a technique (unlike Hip-Hop, which is a style) that forms the basis of many styles of popular dance and is therefore recommended as part of a comprehensive dance education. Students begin Jazz training at age 7 (grade 2). Hip-Hop classes are offered for girls in grades 3-12, and our boys Hip-Hop class is offered for grades 3-5 and teens. Boys breakdance classes start at age 5 and continue through the teens.

JAZZ REPERTORY is an additional jazz class for students who want more. The emphasis of this class is on the choreography, which is mastered throughout the year. The result is a very polished dance routine performed at the annual spring concert. (A Jazz repertory class must be combined with a Jazz technique class.) Tuition: $295/half year.
